May modulate cellular events, such as APP metabolism, kinase-dependent intracellular signaling, neuronal calcium signaling as well as neurotransmission.; Functions as a receptor for Vibrio cholerae cholix toxin and for Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A.
